What were the Causes Of The Black Death
- The Black Death also known as the plague was an infectious disease caused by bacteria called Yersinia Pestis.
- These bacteria are found mainly in rodents, particularly rats, and in the fleas that feed on them. Other animals and humans usually contract the bacteria from rodent or flea bites.
- In rare cases, Yersinia Pestis bacteria can, from a piece of contaminated clothing or other material used by a person with plague, enter the body through an opening in the skin.
What were the Symptoms of The Black Death
- After a few days of exposure to bacteria, you will develop flu-like symptoms such as fever, headache, weakness, and swollen, tender lymph glands.
- Swelling would appear in the armpits, legs, neck, or groin.
- The victim would experience delirium, the victim begins to vomit, muscular pains, bleeding in the lungs, mental disorientation.
- Chills which left the victim exhausted.
